He's not a member of Starfleet, and he knows they have their own way of doing things. It's not that he doesn't respect that. But when there are people trapped on an elevator, and he has his own unique skill set to offer to the mix, he also can't in good conscience sit back and wait. Starfleet officer or not.
A loud thud comes from the top of the turbolift, and it's followed soon after by a man's voice. "Everyone, watch your heads!"
About 4 seconds later, the emergency hatch door comes crashing to the floor. About 2 seconds after that, a tall blond in combat-issue boots lands on top of it.
"Is everyone all right?" he asks, concern furrowing his brow. He has his hands held out to show he isn't holding a weapon and he's not there to cause them harm. But that's when he sees Genesis, and he suddenly stands a little straighter, eyes a little wider. "Genny?"
