TEST DRIVE #15 - Holodeck and Ten Forward

001: Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

Well... he actually does love watching this part. Because, it's exciting to see. He comes closer to catch her if she falls. And kneels down so he can talk in her ear.

"You might feel sick. Please don't be."

Especially in this public place.

"The stars aren't actually moving, we are."

She shook her head slightly. No, she didn't feel sick in her stomach at least. Just a little dizzy. She reaches out to hold onto the Doctor's arm when he gets close enough to keep steady. Fizgig whimpers again and jumps to the table, facing away from the window. It appeared he didn't like that view too much. It was too big for him.

"It's so strange when you can't see the ground." She breathed. "It's a little scary but....amazing. I've never seen stars so clear!"

He grins as he takes in her reaction.

"It is amazing. It's why I like to travel. And... seeing how others react to it."

He then realises she never answered his question.

"Do you want anything to eat or drink?"

The view was really unreal. The gelfling was a little bit in shock when she finally registered the Doctor's question, tearing her gaze away and looking over. It had been a while since she had last ate, and she realized that she actually was hungry.

"I think I'd like some fruit juice." She said finally. Not really sure if the fruits here were like her homeworld. "What kind of food is there to eat?"

The Doctor doesn't know if the fruits are the same either.

"All kinds: fruits and breads and vegetables and meats. But, let's start with the juice."

He leaves her, goes to the replicator and returns a few moments later with a glass of mixed fruit juice (pineapple, banana, orange), which he hands to her.

"If you don't like it, we can keep trying until we find something you do."
hasthegift: (Kira and Fizzgig)

Holy moley I thought I answered this a while back! Sorry! <3

When the Doctor left to get some juice, Kira looked out the window again, her face a little awestruck. Maybe a little uneasy. But it was more the uneasiness that came when encountering something new and unknown. Not something she truly feared.

She was gingerly sitting herself down on the seat when her companion returned with a glass. Her feet dangled over the edge of the chair as she smiled up at him. "I'm not a picky eater." She assured. "I'm willing to try almost anything!"

She reached out for the glass as it was held out and sipped at it. Her eyes widened and her ears perked up though as the flavors hit her. "Oh!" She said after a moment. "I like this!" She drank an even bigger sip in clear enjoyment.

It happens :)

The Doctor sits across from her, with his own drink - coffee this time. Well, sugar with a splash of coffee would probably be more accurate.

He smiles as he watches her reactions. "I'm glad, but you might want to go slow. I don't know what the sugar will do to you. It has a tendency to make children - excitable."

He knows nothing of Geflings. She might be fine.

Kira laughed lightly, waving a hand. "It's probably not that much more than the honey juice back home!" She said, grinning. "Depending on what is put in it, it can create quite a party!" The Podlings definitely loved a good celebration with lots of music and dance.

She sniffed, peering over the table at her companion's mug. "What are you drinking?"
not_the_question: Woman Who Lived (drink pub)

Glad to see you're feeling better.

He looks down into his cub and doesn't really know how to explain it.

"It's called coffee. It is a bitter drink made from a coffee bean. I mostly drink it for it's caffeine content rather than it's bitter flavour, so I use a bit of sweetener..."
