001: Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

She's five and doesn't understand the concept of treading carefully... then again, no one in her family does.

Still, she does rein in her volume somewhat.

"What's the Force?"

"Magic! I know that! I have magic! Magic is everywhere! But it's not here. Which is hard."

Force, magic, similar but somewhat different things. But one of those things that is hard to explain why.

"Uncle Rory says that our magic is weaker here because there isn't a cosmic web in this world." From a pocket she pulls out some candy and offers one to Yoda. It's chocolate, only slightly melted.

"Uncle Bran says that it's what connected Earth to the rest of everything... I guess it's like the Force maybe... but a long, long, long, long, long, long, longlonglonglonglonglong looooong long time ago humans messed something up and cut Earth off from it."

It happened a very long time ago. Asking her for details won't get much because she's five and doesn't know. She knows that it exists, much like any kid would know that galaxies exist, but if she were asked to explain exactly what it was...

She licked her fingers free of the chocolate. Before eating another one.

She shook her head. "I don't know. Just that humanity did something really fucking bunged up stupid. That's what Rhys says. And he should know. He's reeeally, really, really, really, really, really old. Like over a hundred old!"

Because a hundred is really, really, really, really old when you're five.

Blame the adults she lives with. They've never been very careful with expletives around children. Plus saying curse words is cool!

Her eyes go wide. "Reeeeaaaaaaaally?" Yoda's awesomeness has just skyrocketed.

And the younglings were probably never as loud as Ceilidh.

"Uncle Calvin wonders that all the time when I come and visit him," she told him. "He says that I could be heard clear across the castle!"

This is, of course, an amazing achievement on her part.

"How come you talk funny?"

"Maybe! But talking order your words are strange."

This statement is given a lot of thought. Very deep thoughts for a five year old child.

"Rhys is really old and Gaelic isn't his first language so he sounds funny too. Though Uncle Rory says that's because he's Welsh."

Welsh is said as if a person from Wales are strange and mysterious creatures.
