TEST DRIVE #15 - Holodeck and Ten Forward

001: Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.
Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.
OR
2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!
Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?
[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Then it speaks. Not like the other ghosts. Not like the other people who've died. Clear. Like it's real. It's confusing, and his head aches to comprehend it, coming to the conclusion that what he's seeing is real; One of the wives Furiosa freed from Immortan Joe.
Dead, but alive.
"Dead..." He manages to croak out, frowning. "But alive...?"
no subject
"Not dead. Just alive."
She's not dressed in a sheet but clothes, actual clothes. Her skin and hair have been washed with soap enough that she has a bit of a sheen to her now. A sheen of health not tinged by misery.
She's not favouring any leg.
Angharad swallows.
"I fell, off the war rig. But I landed here."
no subject
This wasn't making any sense... It wasn't one of his dreams. Wasn't one of the illusions his brain concoccted to punish... but... it was still impossible.
He's noticied the difference. She's clean. Something Max can't even remember being.
"Different... How long?"
no subject
She hopes that's what he meant. How long has she been here.
How long has she been without her sisters. Capable Toast Cheedo the Dag, and she misses them suddenly like a punch to the gut.
He's a feral, so maybe she should be gentle-soft-sweet, but her sisters.
"The Green Place. The others. Did. Did you make it?"
no subject
He shakes his head, leaning back against the wall. Almost relaxed. Almost.
"Not there anymore. Dead." A ghost of a smile flickers on his lips. "Immortan Joe is dead. There's a new Green Place now."
no subject
They are safe.
He's dead.
They are safe, they made it, they are safe, he can never ever ever find them if he's dead.
She grins, bright and shiny and splendid.
"Good. Thank you."
no subject
"Furiosa killed him. Furiosa took the Citadel back. Citadel is the new Green Place, thanks to the Many Mothers."
He smiles a bit wider, seeming less feral, less mad.
no subject
It's spoken simply, but he and she both know it was never that simple. Or maybe it was: mutual survival, yearning for being a part of something. Motivations are tricksy.
The grin fades, but it leaves happiness in its wake. Happiness enough that she has to restrain herself from pouncing, from demeaning more, more words, more explanation, the Many Mothers helped? The Citadel is the new Green Place? How, how, how-
But he helped, and he's been telling her, and maybe she can help. A little.
"You told me this. What... What can I tell you, Road Warrior?"
