TEST DRIVE #15 - Holodeck and Ten Forward

001: Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.

Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.

OR

2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!

Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?

[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

Open til next month's test drive!]

Amy Pond || Supernatural

[Ten Forward]

Amy froze.

He first thought was why couldn't they have just killed her outright. Not be made to be part of some hunters idea of a messed up joke. She'd heard things. Things her mother had screamed at her as well when she wasn't packing quick enough when they had to get out of town.

She looked around her, trying to figure out what the best exit strategy was. Though Amy was rapidly beginning to think there might not be one. It smelled wrong. the whole place. Humans and other creatures. Some even she wasn't sure what they were. She wished she was back in the library all those years ago, she'd got too used to staying away from people.

"Oi, take it easy," calls a woman from a few tables over.

Her hair licks at her face like flames, eyes large and bright. When she speaks, she's got a distinct Highlands trill.

"As fate would 'ave it, alien abductions happen in pubs now," she adds, gesturing toward the bar.

Amy glanced at the bar and back again to the woman. Curiosity taking over momentarily. Better than fear and anger. Maybe a curious kitsune as dangerous as a cornered one.

"Aliens...?" So maybe it wasn't hunters. Or it was all a trick. If there was potential for someone who should look like your stereotype for a fox spirit it could be this one that Amy was looking at. Not the other way around. "What about something to eat? Where can I get that?" As if she wasn't looking at many different options for a meal around her.

She watches her for a minute, curiosity mirrored in her own eyes, and then decides to try a different method with this one. Humour softening, she gets up and moves a little closer with more sympathy on her face.

"Uh, yeah, you're on a spaceship," she says, hurrying to add: "but don't worry, everyone's actually pretty friendly. Even the mad ones."

She shakes her head, glancing about the room as if the answer to her question should be obvious.

"It's a fully-functional pub, Miss," she says, nodding over her shoulder. "C'mon, I'll show you. My name's Amy."

Amy was starting to think that this wasn't some trick. She was stuck somewhere with a lot of humans and other things. There were other things that she didn't even know where to begin thinking about there.

"No need for Miss..." She paused, "Mine is too."
and_she_waited: (and she bursts with joy)

ooc: gah, I'm so sorry for the slowness, RL clobbered me ;~;

"Oh ho, your parents had good taste," Amy singsongs, turning about to grin at the other Amy as she walks (backwards now) towards the bar.

There's a lot about the room that could seem like some elaborate prank, but it's too real to expect anyone's mates would be taking the piss. Not without a lot of money and probably a good deal of magic.

"Amelia Jessica Pond is my full name, you can call me whatever you like, Amy," she says, not unfriendly; "an' this is Ten Forward. You can get almost anything you want here."

no need to be sorry <3

Amy doesn't really have friends, maybe one or two but as most humans would put it she doesn't have friends, she knows people though. They might not have money but they do have magic. Some of them quite a lot. That's not counting the many different monsters and angels. Tricksters, jinn, various demons, not including herself. Though she didn't have magic like they did.

It was when the other Amy said her full name that she stopped. So Pond wasn't her surname, it was certainly the one she'd been using for a few years now. She'd forgotten exactly where she'd picked it from, just happened. Maybe it was time for a new name or was that what being normal was. Bumping into someone with the same name as you? Sort of the same name as you.

"Almost anything..." She really doubted that she'd get what she wanted there. But regular human food wasn't so bad for her neither was drinking. "Guess I could use a drink."

... Right, then.

The narration would like to recant its earlier published assurances. It's entirely possible someone is having Amy on.

It's not, however, the case here.

She stops when the other Amy does the same, turns and blinks at her.

"Are you all right?" she asks.

Of course, she did just materialize in an alien bar, but besides that.

"What's your poison? I'll see if I can't get the real stuff, they usually let newcomers 'ave at least one to help with the shock," she says.
