TEST DRIVE #15 - Holodeck and Ten Forward

001: Where were you a minute ago? Well, you aren't there anymore. Instead, you're standing in a very large, dark room lined with yellow. There are doors at either end of it.
Here's where things get a little choose your own adventure-y. You could:

1: Approach a console filled with buttons, located a few feet away. Press one, and it'll let you out of the room. Travel down a long hallway and you'll be in Ten Forward, the Enterprises' entertainment lounge. Have a drink, mingle and try to figure out why you're here.
OR
2: Maybe you just muttered some vague request under your breath. Maybe you wished aloud you were somewhere else. Or for help? If you did, might be in a fire station. Muttered something about killing whoever dumped you here? Surprise - you're in a slasher movie!
Though they're confusing, these visions feel about as real as they can be. And guess what - other people can experience those fantasies with you, as if they too were really there. How ever will you escape? Or do you want to?
[OOC: Welcome to the Holodeck! If you choose this option, whatever your character chooses to say out loud will cause a virtual reality program to load and play. While your character feels as if what they're experiencing and seeing is quite real, they're purely living through the latest and best in what he Enterprise has to offer in entertainment. Make sure to detail what your character's fantasy is, so that those threading with them will know how to react.

There was a teenager hovering in the air that reminded her of...no, he couldn't be. Could he?
"Enterprise. Right. Okay, how far, exactly, am I from, you know....earth?" she asked. "You mind coming back onto the floor or is walking not something you do?"
no subject
He nodded to her. "You, like me and many others, were drawn here by a super-powerful being who seems to like to remain scarce, and who seems to like to annoy us by dropping us here with no explanation." Clark smiled to her.
"Would you like something to drink? Lemonade, tea, chocolate milk... beer?" He made a face at that last, but he knew some adults liked it.
no subject
"Tea. Tea would be great."
Piper took in her surroundings. Okay, she was in space with some kid that was floating around in space as far as she could be from earth. That was normal. Had this been in the heydays, she could've called for Leo to come forth and orb her out of here.
"Why don't you go on ahead and get that started? I'll catch up."
no subject
The tea appeared from a replicator, and then he turned and brought it to her. "Here you go, ma'am."
he stood glancing at the giant window facing out toward the stars and back at her. "When are you from, if you don't mind me asking?"
no subject
She followed him and was surprised when the tea appeared instantly. This might put her club out of business. Cautiously, she picked up the cup and took a sip. Close enough.
"San Francisco. You? Listen, are there any demons that are around? You said something about a super powerful being that got us here?"
no subject
"Smallville, not that I know of, and yes, his name is Q, or... the name of his entire race is Q, or both. It's sort of confusing. But apparently he is a cosmic being that the Enterprise started encountering a year or two ago."
Clark made a face again. "He seems to like to play pranks, and make things, ah... interesting."
no subject
"Paige is...uh...my sister. She usually appears when I call for her like that."
Piper looked out into the furthest reaches of space. Q got them that far out, huh? Sounded like he was an Elder gone rogue. She thought they left them alone after the great battle was fought. Oh no. Who was watching the boys, then, if she was out here?
no subject
At the look on her face, he turned concerned. "Are you okay, ma'am?"

Piper sipped at her tea.
"And we're supposed to just wait around until he decides to send us back?"
Something she did not like at all. She and her sisters fought hard to earn their freedom from the Elders. Now? Being under the thumb of another omnipotent, supposedly, figure? Not happening.
no subject
"Maybe you'll be the one to help us all out of here."
no subject
"Miss your folks?" she asked.
no subject
he fell silent, then shook his head. When he looked at her, determination and sureness had replaced fear and sorrow, and he straightened up, eyes taking on a steely blue confidence that would become, someday, rather famous.
"You'll get home, ma'am. Someway, somehow." His voice left no room for doubt, or for argument, ringing quietly with a surety.
no subject
He was just a lost boy. She reached out and patted a hand on his shoulder.
"Don't worry. We'll all get home and you'll be back on the farm with Ma and Paw before you know it."
