Food For Thought [Meme Mondays!]
Greetings and Salutations!
Monday morning is upon us once again, woe. But that means it's time for a new meme to get us through the week, yay! So push that pile of paperwork to the side, pour yourself a coffee or tea, and prepare to get meta with me.
For this week's Food For Thought, I want to know: Your character's shuttle crash lands on an alien planet with no way back to the Enterprise. You're able to salvage one item from the wreckage. What is that item, and what's the first thing you do? Make friends with the locals? Stage an evil uprising? Find out which local animals are the tastiest?
I for one welcome our new Enterprise overlords.

Steve Rogers would want a translation dictionary for the local language, figuring anything else he needs he can fashion himself with his bare hands. First he would make camp, after scouting out the most strategic area for one, but if encountered by the locals he would try to assimilate himself in the best way possible and get to know who's in charge. Unless Natasha was with him, in which case he would stand back and facepalm while she quietly usurps the throne and takes over.
Amy Pond would want the TARDIS, because the rules on cheating have always been wibbly wobbly in her book. Sigh, fine, if she can't have the TARDIS she would want Rory. End of. She'd probably make a fine overlord though, just saying.
Kate Barlow wants her hat with the eagle feather in the band. That feather was the last gift Sam ever gave her, and it's the one thing she still carries with her from her past. First thing she'd do is find what passes for a horse on this planet and ride until she can't no more.

This one I had commissioned by a friend when we were doing some epic "Incredible Shrinking TARDIS plots"... And I SWEAR that Doctor Who writers know all my handles and stalk me on the internet for ideas :| I did this back in like 2009-2010.
